President on a two day Tripura visit

President Ram Nath Kovind is on a Tripura visit from June 07 to 08. This will be his first visit to Tripura as the President of India and the 26th state visited by him since he assumed office as the President of India.

On Thursday, Kovind had dedicated the improved Udaipur-Sabroom section of NH-08.

He is also scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the re-development of Matabari Temple complex at Tripurasundari temple in Udaipur.

Further in the evening, the President will attend a civic reception hosted by the Government of Tripura in his honour and the declarement to the Queen Pineapple as the State Fruit of Tripura in Agartala.
