Prestigious Fellowship to Shillong Teacher

Shillong-based Physics teacher Rahul Chatterjee to be conferred with the prestigious 'International High School Teacher Programme' fellowship for a two-week training programme at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland to be held in July.

Chatterjee,who is an assistant lecturer of Physics in Shillong Jail Road Boys' HigherSecondary School has won the fellowship through an open internationalcompetition.

Chatterjeeis the only teacher from India selected for the prestigious fellowship and hewill be leaving for Geneva in the month of July.

Chatterjee hasalso brought laurels to the state earlier be receiving the Science TeacherAward in 2009 presented by the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), NERLocal Chapter. He also received the highly acclaimed International Leaders inEducation Programme (ILEP) fellowship to the United States.
