Nationwide Strike by traders today

A nationwide protest has been declared by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) today , against the heinous Pulwama terror.

The traders' organisation has appealed to all the states and cities to extend support to them in order to make it a truly 'Bharat Trade Bandh.'

Along with many parts of Assam, the bandh effect was also seen in  Guwahati after the shops and business etablishments busy commercial city center, Fancy Bazar were shut. Business establishments in Jalukbari, Adabari and Maligaon were also shut on Monday.

In Delhi, the CAIT said, all wholesale and retail markets will remain close on Monday. Traders in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana, J&K and other states will also participate in the bandh.

Along with different parts of the country, people across Assam hit the roads and have been staging massive protest against the inhuman Pulwama terror attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed on Indian Security Forces which left 44 CRPF troopers dead including a jawan from Assam named Maneshwar Basumatary of the 98th Battalion.

The locals of Fancy Bazar burned  Pakistan flags and effigies of Jaish-e Mohammad chief Masood Azhar  on Saturday. The protesters also demanded action against the masterminds of the terror attack and all business establishments of the area were shut as a protest against the attack.
