‘Quality Certified’ Recognition for Goalpara Civil Hospital & Ledo PHC

Assam's Goalpara Civil Hospital and Ledo Primary Health Centre, Tinsukia have been conferred with 'Quality Certified' under NQAS (National Quality Assurance Standards) recently.

Goalpara Civil Hospital is the first civil hospital in Assam to be awarded this prestigious recognition. The health facility scored 85% for ten departments having met all the criteria and benchmarks required for National Quality Assurance.

The ten departments are – Laboratory, Labour room, Maternity Ward, Operation Theatre, Sick Newborn Care Unit (SNCU), Post Partum Unit (PP Unit), Pharmacy, Blood Bank, Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) and General Administration.

Similarly, Ledo Primary Health Centre, Tinsukia is the first Primary Health Centre in Assam to be NQAS certified. It has scored 91.6%.

In addition to this, four district hospitals namely Goalpara Civil Hospital, Haflong Civil Hospital, Darrang Civil Hospital and Nalbari Civil Hospital have also been conferred 'LaQshya' certification and 18 facilities got certified by State Quality Assurance Committee (SQAC).
