R-Day: Serial explosions rock Assam, no casualty

A series of four bomb explosions by suspected rebel outfits rocked upper Assam's Charaideo and Dibrugarh districts on Sunday morning as the state celebrated the country's 71st Republic Day.

  • First blast: Teok haat, Sonari
  • Second blast: Near Duliajan Police station
  • Third & fourth blast: Marwari Patty, Graham Baazar (Dibrugarh)
  • Fifth blast: Dumduma 8 no. bridge

There was no casualty or injury in any of the explosions, police said.
