Rains to continue in Northeast India

With many states of Northeast India under the grip of flood after incessant rains, Skymet Weather has predicted rains to continue in the region with no relief likely.

Bokakhat, Karbi Anglong, Golaghat, Karimganj and Hailakandi are among the most affected districts of Assam.

Over 10,000 relief camps have been set up in Assam, where approximately 1.5 lakh people have taken shelter.

Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura has been adversely affected too.
