Rajen Gohain survives “sex” case

Pratidin Bureau

The Union Railway Minister Rajen Gohain survived a rape case charge  when Guwahati High Court today dismissed a case against him following petitioner submitting that there was a "misunderstanding".

This last minute dramatic court verdict may help Rajen Gohain to secure re-nomination for the 5th shot in the Lok Sabha from Nagaon constituency.

Earlier he himself told media that he was denied ticket for having this case. The BJP Central Election Committee in anticipation of this court verdict has not declared the candidature for the party even as all other nine of  candidates are declared.

Looking at the delay, there is every probability that the four times MP might get a relook.  This is noteworthy that only in last Friday, he announced in media a big conspiracy to humiliate he and his family. His wife Rita Nath Gohain in fact broke down before television saying that all the accusation of rape is an very sensitive issue and has harassed her.
