Rajnath visits Arunachal Pradesh

Rajnath Singh landed at Tawang helipad at noon today, wherehe was received by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu. The defenceminister then visited the Tawang War Memorial.

Singh to review the preparedness of security along theborder with China during his visit.

On November 15, Rajnath Singh will visit the Indian Armypost in Bum La area. There Rajnath Singh will also inaugurate an importantriver bridge. This is Rajnath Singh's maiden visit to Arunachal Pradesh as adefence minister.

The area recently had seen transgressions from the army ofChina. The entire state is claimed by China as part of its Tibetan territory.
