Rakesh Paul’s bail plea rejected

The Special Court on Friday rejected former Chairman of Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Rakesh Paul's plea for bail, ending the accused's desire to leave the jail before the CBI inquiry.

Paul hadapplied bail against the case registered in Guwahati's Bhangagarh PoliceStation.

It may be noted that following the hearing on Thursday, the Court had reserved its order on the plea.

Rakesh Paul was the prime accused in the infamous 'Cash-for-job scam' in the APSC.
