Rangia: Muslim villagers perform last rites of Hindu man

Sendingout a message of communal harmony, amid ongoing politics over religion, the residentsof a Muslim village in Rangia has come out to perform the last rites of a Hinduman on Saturday. The incident took place in Khandikar village, where thevillagers, mostly Muslims, called a priest to perform the last rites of one,Rajkumar Gaur, who died last night.

Accordingto reports, Rajkumar along with his wife and children was living in thepremises of one Saddam Hussain. He worked as a labour to earn his livelihood.Rajkumar died last night following illness.

Interestingly,the villagers have come out to perform the last rites of Rajkumar. They calleda priest to perform the rituals as per the Hindu tradition.

"Hewas like a family member and we did what should be done for any member of afamily," said Saddam Hussain.
