BJP sounds unhappy after meeting Rahul on CAB

Pratidin Bureau

BJP state President Ranjit Kumar Das on Tuesday has attacked the state delegations for meeting Congress president Rahul Gandhi to garner support against the Citizenship Bill.

His comments came after the delegation of the North East Students Organisation (NESO), which is campaigning against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, met AICC president, Rahul Gandhi, in New Delhi on Monday.

Criticizing AASU, Das said that "Martyrs families have already returned government honor, now it's time to return the honor offered by AASU. The activities of AASU have disappointed us.There are 7 organizations with Akhil, not 70 organisations."

"West Bengal CM is 'coward'. If she has guts, she should mention the name of Assam minister."

"If Tarun Gogoi has guts, he should give FIR against Himanta Biswa."

On Monday, Congress president Rahul Gandhi assured the delegation that the Congress is against the CAB and will vote against it if it is brought in the Rajya Sabha.
