Re-polling at 5 polling centres in Assam

A day after the third phase of Lok Sabha Elections and Assam's final phase of elections on Tuesday, re-polling at five polling stations in Karimganj and Autonomous District seats is underway.

There are four centres where people have gone re-polling under the South Karimganj Legislative Assembly constituency and one under Diphu Legislative Assembly constituency. Election Commission had scheduled the re-polls for the centres after malfunctions were reported in the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections on April 18.

Till 11 am the re-poll percentage of Karimganj HPC was 33.65% and re-poll percentage of PS No. 136 – Upper Dillaji LP School of 19-Diphu Legislative Assembly Segment under 3-Autonomous District (ST) HPC was 23%.

According to reports, the proces is going on peacefully and will conclude at 5 pm.
