Renowned Educationist, a scholar of Shakespeare's literature and former lecturer of Dibrugarh and Gauhati University Dr. Amaresh Dutta passed away at his own residence at Dibrugarh.

Honoured with Professor Emeritus title Dr. Dutta died due to age-related ailment.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also expressed grief on the demise of Dr. Dutta and said that his last rites will be performed with state honour.
