Rima’s new film in Toronto International Film Festival

Pratidin Bureau

Rima Das's new film 'Bulbul Can Sing' has been selected by the Toronto International Film Festival in the Contemporary World Cinema section.

The Toronto International Film festival has been regarded as the second most important film festival of the world after Cannes films festival.

After storming the world with her first film "Village Rockstar", which won the best feature film in as many as six International film festivals besides the National Film Awards, Rima Das presents a visceral coming-of-age drama about a young girl living in rural India, fighting her way through love and loss as she figures out who she really is.

A tightlipped Rima has not given any more detail about the film but looking at the still released by the Film Festival, once again Rima picked up an unusual subject and unusual casting for the film.

On this independence day, we wish Rima and her film all the success.
