A deadly road accident has taken place at Kheroni region in Karbi Anglong on Tuesday night.

Reportedly, a person identified as Nimai Malakar (43)resident of Matikhula village, has died at the spot due to the collisionbetween a truck (AS 02B 3315) and a bike (AS-01 AT 1520). Moreover one moreperson identified as Nilamani Nath got critically injured due to the accident.

As per reports, the accident took place when the truck wasgoing towards Dima Hasau from Lanka, and the bike was coming from the oppositedirection.

After the incident took the locals reached the spot and sentthe injured person to the hospital.

It may be stated that, as the deadly accident took place thetruck has fled away from the scene immediately, but the driver surrendered himselfat the Doyangmukh police station in Dima Hasau along with the truck.
