Road Mishaps Across Assam Leave 4 Dead

In several road mishaps across Assam have left four dead and injured around five persons. The deaths caused have left a pale of gloom in the places where they occurred.

In a collision between two-motorbikes in Bialsipara, one bike rider died on the spot while the other was seriously injured.

The deceased has been identified as Maminur Islam and the injured as Mirajul Haque; who has been shifted to Gauhati Medical College & Hospital for treatment.

In a separate accident in Bokajan's Balipathar, two persons died on the spot and three others were seriously injured when an auto-rickshaw was hit by pick-up vehicle.

The injured have been shifted to Bokajan Civil Hospital.

In another tragic road mishap on person identified as Pranjal Pradhan died on the spot in Samuguri when the bike he was riding hit a static truck.

It has been known that the deceased was on his way home after buying gift for his wife on the occasion of their first marriage anniversary.

The accident took place at Rajagrah area of Samuguri.

In another incident on Thursday afternoon a passenger bus, which was on its way to Tezpur from Guwahati, lost control on NH15 near Baihata Chariali in Kamrup district and went off road and hit a roadside tree.

However, no passenger was seriously injured in the accident.

It may be mentioned here that road mishaps across Assam has witnessed a surge in the past few months.
