Acting on a tip-off, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Wednesday arrested three persons including one woman for smuggling pistols and ammunition from the Agartala-bound Deoghar Express from Agartala railway station.

The arrested persons have been identified as Lawrence Debbarma, Binod Debbarma, and Soilo Rani Chakma.

From the trio, RPF recovered five pistols, six loaded magazines, cash, two mobile phones and an ATM card.
