Rs 251 Crore For Assam Flood Relief

The central government has approved a sum of Rs 25155.00 lakh for relief and rehabilitation work in Assam.

The Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure (Finance Commission division) directed the Chief Controller of Accounts, Department of expenditure for release of Rs 25155.00 Lakh (Two hundred fifty one crore and fifty five lakh) as grants-in-aid towards central share of SDRF for 2019-20 on the basis of the recommendation of the 14th finance commission for relief necessitated by natural calamities to Assam.

The department also directed Chief Controller of Accounts to advise Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Nagpur to credit the amount to the account of State Government.
