Samujjal Bhattacharya To Quit AASU

Chief advisor of AASU Samujjal Bhattacharya, during a public session on Sunday, said that he will resign from the association during the union meeting in Duliajan scheduled to be held in November.

Bhattacharya, who was on a two-month break due to health issues, made the revelation while speaking at a meeting in their Guwahati office.

"AASU should remain as AASU. The people do not want the apolitical nature of the party to be abolished," he said.

He added that he will not take part in active politics for any reason and will resign during AASU's Duliajan session in November.
