Sanaullah excluded from Final NRC

RetiredIndian Army Officer, Mohammad Sanaullah, could not make it to the FinalNational Register of Citizens (NRC), which was published today. He was notincluded in the list as his appeal against the Foreigners' Tribunal's (FT)order was pending in Gauhati High Court.

Itmay be mentioned here that he had grabbed the headlines after he was declared aforeigner. Along with Sanaullah, name of his daughters, Shahnaz Akhtar andHilmina Akhtar, and son, Saeed Akhtar are also missing from the NRC list.

"We will wait for disposal of my appeal in High Court before taking any other recourse," Sanaullah was quoted as saying by HT.

Accordingto NRC authorities, 3,11,21,004 people were found eligible for inclusion in theFinal NRC leaving out 19,06,657 people. The left out people also included thenames of those, who did not submit claims.
