Severe landslide in Guwahati, Rubbles fell on house

In a dangerous incident, a family luckily escaped from a severe landslide that hit the Geetanagar area of Guwahati on Sunday. The Bhagadutta Path of Geetanagar is facing serious landslide, the rubbles of which fell on a rented house situated below it. The house reportedly belongs to Aarati Talukdar.

The road, that houses around 100 families, was last constructed in 2016.

Guwahati and the areas in and around the city have been facing several incidents of landslide in the past couple of days. Areas like Kahilipara, Kharghuli, Geetanagar, Pandu and Amingaon are under the dangerous grip of landslides. On Saturday, efforts were started to evacuate the people living in the landslide-prone areas of the city.
