Shops to open in Meghalaya’s Ri Bhoi district

In yet another measure aimed towards easing the lockdown in Meghalaya, the DC of Ri Bhoi district has reportedly allowed certain shops to function. All fair price shops, essential items shops, shops selling essential groceries, meat, vegetable, and fruit vendors will be allowed to function from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. everyday till July 15.

However, shops situated along the National Highway will not be allowed to open. Industries, factories and warehouses engaged in the manufacturing and storing of essential items can function with minimum staff living within their respective premises. However, labourers from outside will not be allowed.
