SI Exam Paper Leak: CID Held 3 Persons

Three persons have been arrested in connection with the SI exam paper leak of Assam Police which was scheduled on September 20. The CID arrested one Hirak Jyoti Baruah from Karbi Anglong.

Hirak has been accused of providing the question paper to a person of Golaghat through WhatsApp.

On the other hand, another accused has been arrested from Bamundi in Kamrup district. The accused has been identified as Kushal Das.

Meanwhile, CID recovered question papers from Thank You lodge in Ganeshguri, Guwahati. Four owners of the lodge have been detained and being interrogated by CID.

The owners of the lodge Pranjal Sarma, Alakesh Baishya, Bimal Thapa are currently under interrogation.

Another accused Sanjib Sarma has been detained from Jyotinagar.

It has come to know that the question paper was printed at a printing press in Hyderabad.

According to reports, the exam for SI of Assam Police was conducted earlier on September 19 against money and the main examination was scheduled on September 20 which got cancelled after the paper was leaked.

Moreover, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal ordered the probe into the incident and said that the examination will be re-conducted within a month.
