SI Exam Scam: GHC Rejects Bail Plea of Alakesh Baishya

The Gauhati High Court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of Alakesh Baishya, one of the accused in the SI recruitment exam scam of Assam Police. Baishya was the owner of Thank You lodge who was also involved in the question paper leakage racket.

He was arrested by Crime Branch under Case No 13/2020.

On the other hand, the mastermind of the scam SP Kumar Sanjit Krishna, Saroj Sarma, and Joydeep Baruah has been also been sent to judicial custody by the court today.

Krishna was remanded to 5-days CID custody on October 16 along with Saroj Sarma and Joydeep Baruah.

They have been produced in the court today on completion of the 5-days of CID custody but the investigation agency didn't seek their custody again.
