Renowned Sivsagar doctor from Simulgari Dr. Prabin Konwar succumbed to coronavirus on Sunday.

Konwar was also the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) vice president for the Sivasagar district.

He had been suffering from kidney and heart problems for some time. Konwar passed away at Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh.
