Sonari Blast: Police Suspect of Battery Explosion

The Charaideo Superintendent of Police(SP), Anand Mishra and Army Commandant said that whether the blast that tookplace in Sonari is not confirmed if it is a bomb or IED blast.

The police and army reached the spotimmediately after the blast and said that the blast form is not yet known asthey have not recovered any explosives, wire or detonator in the blast site.

Police suspected that it might be abattery blast as there is a battery shop nearby. It was said that the effect ofthe blast could be felt up to 10-15 km from the blast site.

However, the explosion took place atDhudar Ali in Sapekhati area at Sonari on Monday night at around 11.40 pm afterwhich tensed situation prevails in the area ahead of the Republic Day.
