Sonowal Reviews MOITRI Scheme

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowalreviewed the progress of the MOITRI scheme on Tuesday evening under whichmodernization of infrastructure in police stations are being taken place.

Sonowal also took stock of the differentaspects of modernization of police stations in the state. Acting as thechairman of the meeting, Sonowal also directed Director General of Police (DGP)Kuladhar Saikia to oversee that the modernization work of 73 police stations iscompleted by the end of December this year.

The CM also directed the DGP to askSuperintendents of Police (SP) of each district to inspect the quality of workbeing taken under the MOITRI scheme. He also took stock of the progress of thepreliminary works of the proposed Police Academy in the state.
