Stick to singing: BJP supporter threatens Zubeen

At a time, when Assam is on the boil in protest against the much debated Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, a worker of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has threatened Assam singing superstar Zubeen Garg for his stand on the contentious Bill.

The BJP worker of Morigaon has used unparliamentary slang words to threatened Zubeen and made several controversial remarks against the singer. The Morigaon BJP worker identified as Jainal Ali, even compared Zubeen with a daily wage-labour and said, "Zubeen should stick to his singing rather than coming into politics."

Criticizing Zubeen for his latest song 'Politics Nokoriba Bondhu', the BJP worker asked, "Does Zubeen want to become the Chief Minister? I have no doubt that he could not win a ward commissioner election."

It should be noted that Jainal Ali has been said to be a close aid of Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika and has several criminal records registered against him in different police stations under Morigaon district.
