Ramesh Saharia, the Tantrik (occult practitioner), who was detained on Monday, has been sent to 5-day police custody on Tuesday. An Udalguri Court has sent Saharia to police custody, who was detained by Darrang police in connection with the sensational incident that took place at Kalaigaon area on Saturday.

Meanwhile,police have launched search operation to nab another accused identified asKajol Bhuyan. Both Bhuyan and Ramesh Saharia were in touch with the family andhad instructed Jadab Saharia's family to perform the rituals.

Itmay be mentioned here that on July 6, Jadab Saharia and his family disrobedthemselves completely amid an alleged plan to sacrifice a minor child as perthe instructions of the Tantrik.
