Teenager Goes Missing In Geruwa River

A 13-year-old girl identified as Guwahati's Rinki Deka went missing in Geruwa river in Baksa district under Goreswar PS on Wednesday.

As per reports, the girl along with her family had gone to her maternal uncle's place to attend her grandmother's adyashraddho.

After performing the ritual in the Geruwa river at around 1 pm on Wednesday, the teenager returned home but again went there along with six other girls of her age to take bath when she went missing.

The other girls immediately informed her family and a search operation was launched by the police and SDRF personnel to find the missing teenager.

However, till the filing of this report, no trace of the girl was found.

It may be mentioned here that Rinki is a Class VIII student of Rajgarh High School, Guwahati.
