Thief Enters Cachar paper mill, Shot Dead By Guard

Amid the bad days of ailing paper mills in the state, an appalling case reported from Assam's Barak valley.

As per reports, a thief was shot dead by a security guard on Sunday after a smash-and-grab attempt in Cachar Paper Mill. But, his accomplice ran away; the police said.

"We suspect that the thief had some accomplice who might have run away after he was shot", Police added.

It simply boils down to a security guard trying to protect the properties in the dark of night.

However, the police have not yet identified the thief who was shot dead by the guard. Cachar Paper Mill – the only major industrial undertaking in south Assam's Barak Valley, is located at Panchgram in Hailakandi district.
