The DarrangPolice on Thursday evening detained three rhino poachers from Dalgaon area.Acting on a tip off, a team of Darrang police carried search operation to nabthe poachers.

The detainees were identified as Sagar Singh, Samir Ali and Maruj Ali. Sagar Singh was hired by Samir and Maruj as a sharp-shooter. Police also seized a 303 rifle, 11 rounds of live bullets from the poachers with some objectionable documents.

Meanwhile, all of them were taken to the Darrang Police Station to continue the interrogation process, informed police.
