Assam Police last night arrested three persons in connection with the attack on the BJP district president Lankeshwar Moran.

The SP Tinuskia Shiladitya Chetia informed that Rana Gohain, Ritubaran Dohotia and Dipankar Gohain were arrested. Of them the first two are local AASU leaders.

More arrested are expected in the course of day. Meanwhile situation is calm and police have been keeping close watch on the development.
