Carcass of Leopard Recovered Near Railway Track along NH 37 in Assam's Doomdooma

A leopard has been found dead at Talap, under Saikhowa Forest Range under the jurisdiction of Doomdooma Forest Division in Tinsukia on Monday.

The carcass was found on the railway track along the 37th National Highway.

The locals have suspected that the leopard met its demise after a collision with some unassuming vehicle as it was trying to cross the highway.

Officials from the forest department arrived at the spot and have already taken the leopard to Saikhowa Forest Range.
