Tragic road accident took place at Nazira in Sivasagar where 22 female passengers were severely injured in a head on collision between a truck and a bus.

The bus bearing number AS 04 60353 was heading towards Demow from Nazira while the truck bearing number AS04BC 0317 was moving towards Nazira from Sivasagar.

The incident was very tragic as the bus fall into a gorge after it wascollided with the truck and the lives of the female passengers have been savedsomehow.  

The bus was heading towards the procession of the Shrimanta SankardevSangha Nazira district Child and Aaimatri Kalyan Samiti in Demow.

However, the truck has surrendered to Simaluguri police outpost afterthe accident.

The bus driver was severely injured and rushed to the Nazira hospitaland the four female passengers out of 22 were also critically injured.
