An assistant sub-inspector of Border Security Force (BSF) committedsuicide inside a bus on Friday night by shooting himself with his servicerifle.

The deceased, Ashwini Kumar who was 50 years old, was originallyfrom Jammu and Kashmir. He was of 86 battalion, BSF and was posted inPancharatan area in Tripura for some election work.

Following the incident which happened at around 8 PM atnight, the deceased was carried to a local hospital where the doctor declaredhim as brought dead.

Postmortem will be conducted at the hospital today as saidby Dr. Nirja Debbarma of Gandcahera Sub-Divisional Hospital.
