Tripura Government to announce new recruitment rules

Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Dev Varma have informed that the state government will soon announce new recruitment rules for all departments.

"A draft of the revised rules has been prepared and is waiting for the government's approval" Dev Varma informed the media on Tuesday.

"The draft needs to be finalised. I shall see the proposal, the CM too shall see it" the Deputy CM said. "The proposal will also be discussed with all the ministers" he added.

On the implementation of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) benefits, Dev Varma said that work was being done for implementing the revised perks at a fast pace.

Devvarma also claimed that Tripura had the highest number of government employees proportionate to the state's population. "We have 4.38 per cent of population as government employees. It is 0.35 per cent in Gujarat, 0.77 percent in Assam" he said.
