Assam Police in a successful operation nabbed two persons in connection with the spine chilling murder of a couple in Chaygaon's Gumi area last Monday. The detainees were identified as Jalan Ali and Matiur Ali.

Police nabbed the miscreants from Chaygaon's Hatipara area on Saturday. However, the investigating team is yet to recover the toddler, who went missing following the horrific incident.

Meanwhile, top police officials informed that the detainees admitted that they have killed the couple in a revenge attack. Police also informed that there is likely to be more arrest in connection with the murder. Earlier on Monday, a couple was murdered inside their home and threw the bodies at Kolohi river.
