Acting on a tip off regarding the movement of NDFB cadres in Udalguri, a joint operation was conducted by Security Forces and Police on Saturday. Two NDFB (S) militants were detained during the operation.

According to reports, the group of militants were based in that area for advanced training. The team of police and Security forces seized arms and some important documents from the detainees.

Identified as Chumkhar Doimary and Jongshon Basumatary, the NDFB (S) cadres were said to be trained at Myanmar.
