Two students injured as floor collapses during earthquake at a school in Mangaldoi

The earthquake that hit Assam on Monday morning caused damage to a school building in Mangaldoi, where two students were injured.

The floor of a classroom collapsed while students were attending English lessons at Mangaldoi Vidyapith.

It may be mentioned here that the school building was constructed under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and the construction was supervised by the state Public Works Department.

Locals have alleged faulty construction behind the incident.
