Vajpayee’s remains to be immersed today

The ashes of  Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be immersed today with full state honour as the state BJP and the district administration had made elaborate arrangement.

The ashes were brought yesterday by Assam BJP Chief Ranjit Das and that was received by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal personally. Later it was kept at the BJP state office where thousands thronged to pay homage.

Today around  1.p.m the ashes would be taken out via Zoo Road, Chandmari, Shilpukhuri, Latashil playground before ending at Lachit Park at Bharalumukh. The ashes will be kept there from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.  And thereafter, the ashes will be immersed in the Brahmaputra. The BJP gone all out to bring in supporters to make tomorrow's procession a huge affair.

On the other hand, Tomorrow  Assam ministers Ranjit Dutta, Sum Ronghang and CM's legal advisor Shantanu Bharali, BJP leader Rajdeep Roy, state BJP vice president Biswarup Bhattacharjya will take the ashes to Barak valley. And there Minister Parimal Shuklabaidya, former union minister Kabindra Purkayastha and BJP leader Mission Ranjan Das will receive the ashes at the airport and later it will be immersed at the Barak river.
