In a shocking turn of events, a patient was taken in a hand-cart to the hospital due to the unavailability of an ambulance.

A female resident of Hafiznagar was suffering from severe body ache and fever. Her family and attendants tried calling on 108 and 102 for around five hours. After futile attempts, the lady was taken in a hand-cart to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.

However, the ambulance arrived only at midnight and picked the lady midway to the hospital.
