Women gang-raped in moving car in Tihu

In a heinous incident in Tihu, a woman allegedly was gang-raped in a moving car. Five men traveling in an Alto car with registration no AS-01-DG-3056 reportedly abducted the women from Tihu's Nathkuchi where the women went for shopping. The women was  allegedly gang raped by the five men and later dumped at Karkabari forest with her hands and legs tied.

Police have started the investigation and have arrested  two accused named Nurul Ali and  Bakkul Nath. However the three other accused namely Kishoremohan Das, Rupdhan Ali and Merajul Haq  have not yet been traced by the police.

The woman is undergoing treatment  at a Civil Hospital for trauma and severe injuries.

Similar incident  occurred in Nagaon on August 9 when  a woman was gang-raped in a moving car by four men. The woman was on her way to Golaghat  from Lanka with her boyfriend on a motorcycle.  Four men traveling in an Alto car reportedly intercepted the bike near Nagaon and forced her into the vehicle.

Later the victim was dumped on the National Highway (NH)-37. A truck driver of an oil tanker rescued the woman from the highway and reported the incident to the Jakhalabandha police.
