World Bank team likely to visit Assam

The world bank team is likely to visit Assam within two months from now along with a team of experts from tourism and employment generation.

The team will study tourism sector and its potentiality to create a tourist hotspot.

World bank analysed the issue of funding Rs 800 crore as Public private partnership project. However, a project of Rs 700 crore is already under consideration by India Government for advance submission to World bank after necessary approvals.

Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) has planned to provide river cruise across the entire Brahmaputra, Vaishnavite circuit development, Sonora nature camp, Majuli island and other circuits.
