Youth arrested for posting Anti-India status on FB

A youth named Mohammad Hafizur Rehman alias Sunny has been arrested by the Mangaldai police on Tuesday. The  19 year youth who is a resident of ward no-2 of Mangaldai town posted Pro Pakistan status on his Facebook wall after which there was a massive outrage against him on social media.

The youth has been booked according to case vide  MLD PS C/no 129/19 u/s 124A/505(2) of the IPC and remanded him to judicial custody after registering a case in Mangaldai police station.

As per reports, the youth is a Class X drop out who has been sharing anti India and Pro Pakistan statuses on Social Media.

Mamoni Hazarika , DSP (HQ) , Darrang said, "The  Cyber cell has been set on high alert has been put into high alert by our SP sir to keep a the track of all the sensitive posts made viral via different social media leading to possible law and order situation in the society ".

Earlier a lecturer of Icon Commerce College in Guwahati  named Papri Z Banerjee was arrested for making controversial statements regarding the Pulwama attack. The lecturer was arrested by the Chandmari Police on Sunday for making objectionable remarks on the martyr of the Pulwama attack on social networking site facebook.
