Zerifa Wahid Bags Nomination at IFFM

Renowned Assamese Actor Zerifa Wahid has been nominated for the Best Actor (Female) Award for her film Bhoga Khirkee in the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), 2019.

The biggest Film Festival of India will be held atPalais Theatre, St Kilda at Melbourne on August 8, 2019.

Zerifa has been nominated along with big names ofBollywood film industry like Tabu for Andhadhun, Neena Gupta for Badhaai Ho,Alia Bhatt for Gully Boy. Bengali Actor Rhituporna Sengupta has also beennominated for her film Ahaa Re for the same category while Ladakh Actor JigmeetDewa Lhamo has also been nominated for the film Chuskit.

Bhoga Khirkee was written and directed by the internationally acclaimed director Jahnu Barua which is based on the real-life experiences of a village girl in Upper Assam and is set against the socio-political landscape of the state in 2015.
