Zubeen Garg continues to oppose Citizenship Bill

Pratidin Bureau

Singer Zubeen Garg on Wednesday threatened to launch an agitation by himself if BJP brings the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill. Garg once again affirmed his stand on the CAB remains unchanged and will oppose any attempt to bring back the Bill.

Expressing his dissatisfaction over BJP manifesto 'Sankalp Patra',  Zubeen reiterated that "if the Bill comes into enactment, situation in the state will deteriorate because we are not backing down. We will continue our fight against the Bill".

It may be mentioned that BJP clearly stated its commitment to enact the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in its manifesto.
