1 killed as Four Earthquakes Rock Maharashtra

Four earthquakes rock Maharashtra's Palghar district in the wee hours of Thursday within minutes after more than seven tremors were felt in the area since Wednesday evening.

According to a news report by ANI news agency, a 55-year old man was killed in Dahanu area of Maharashtra's Palghar district on Thursday after a wall of a house collapsed on him in the earthquake.

A magnitude of 3.8 Richter scale shook Dahanu in the Talasari belt of Palghar district at 1.03 am and was followed by 3.6, 2.9 and 2.8 till 1.15am. The tremors were felt in Boisar as well.

However,residents could not move out of the houses as it was raining.
