10 arrested for playing PUBG

The Rajkot Police on Thursday arrested at least 10 people for playing mobile game PUBG.  Police also seized their mobile phones for the purpose of investigation.

Notably, the mobile game has been banned in several districts of Gujarat citing PUBG to be addictive and harmful. According to The Indian Express, Rajkot Pollice Commissioner said that the arrested people were playing the game in public places. "The case will go to the courts and there will be a trial for not following the notification issued," The Indian Express quoted Police Commissioner Manoj Agrawal as saying.

PUBG has developed a huge user base in India after its launch.
