11 persons bid farewell to their phones at Jaitley’s funeral

At a event such as the funeral of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley at the Nigambodh ghat on Sunday, a group of pickpockets had swiftly cleaned their hands on as many as 11 persons who were present there to pay their last tributes to the BJP leader.

BJP MP Babul Supriyo, Patanjali spokesperson SK Tijarawala and a Hindi Khabar reporter were among those 11 persons whom the thieves had targeted at the gathering.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, Tijarawala complained that he, along with 10 others, lost their mobile phones the previous evening.

Scribing in Hindi, he said that when they all were paying their last tribute to Jaitley, the phone from which this photo was taken, also gave him a final good bye. Sad that people are not sparing cremation ground and are taking the advantage of stealing things.

In a series of tweets, Tijarawala shared the current location of his lost phone.

MP Babul Supriyo also taking to the social media platform to express his plight.
